By Road: Travelling from the South:
  • Leave A1 Northbound at Exit 63.
  • At roundabout, take the first exit onto the A167 heading towards Durham/Chester-le-Street.
  • Follow the A167 through 3 roundabouts.
  • After a railway bridge turn left at Holmhill Lane (Chesters Grove Garden Centre is on your left)
  • Follow this road for approximately 2 miles
    (under 2 overhead bridges).
    • Note: this is an undulating country road with sharp turn and blind crests
  • Finchale Training College is on your left at the brow of a hill.
By Road: Travelling from the North:
  • Leave A1 Southbound at Exit 63
  • At roundabout, take the fourth exit onto the A167 heading towards Durham/Chester-le-Street
  • Follow the A167 through 3 roundabouts.
  • After a railway bridge turn left at Holmhill Lane (Chesters Grove Garden Centre is on your left)
  • Follow this road for approximately 2 miles
    (under 2 overhead bridges).
    • Note: this is an undulating country road with sharp turn and blind crests
  • Finchale Training College is on your left at the brow of a hill.
     
By public transport:

Durham Rail and Bus Station are both approximately 10 minutes by taxi from Finchale Training College.
