Finchale makes it easier for you to find and recruit the right person. We are experts in the field of disability and offer sensible and realistic advice about employing disabled people. We work with honesty, integrity and transparency to provide people who are capable, motivated and ready to work, matching individuals to vacancies in the same way a recruitment agency would but
without the cost
All individuals have achieved or are working towards nationally recognised qualifications and ongoing career development can be negotiated as part of the package.
Our staff can devise a personally tailored, low risk and low cost solution to your recruitment needs. In real terms, the only cost involved is one of time.
For SMEs whose small teams are often under immense pressure, the promise of a fresh perspective and 'extra pair of hands' to tackle new projects is surely too good to be ignored. People with disabilities have a spending power of £80 billion, just think of the opportunity of seeing things from the other side of the fence!
Far from being a burden, employment trials can quickly become an asset - and they are one which more small businesses should take advantage of.
We have a track record of success in supporting employers and helping organisations - large and small - to improve their diversity.
Our specialist team provides:

Financial incentives to support your recruitment

Your Commitment
In many ways offering an employment trial is just like taking on any new employee; there should be a job description and an induction programme; support in the form of a mentor or supervisor and, most importantly, there should be an evaluation at the end of the trial period to ensure that the individual understands what they have achieved, not just in terms of their contribution to the organisation, but also the skills they have begun to develop that are necessary for the workplace.
The Business Case
Many job-seekers are simply not aware of some of the organisations in the small business sector and the jobs they offer. Through work trials, businesses can break down the misconceptions about SMEs and compete more effectively with larger companies for the cream of available talent.
Using Finchale will help you to develop a workforce reflective of the local population - a great advantage in helping you to develop your products or services to tap into that £80billion spend.
Statistically, despite common misconceptions, disabled people make loyal, reliable and well motivated colleagues and our records show that their sickness records are equal to or better than non-disabled workers. Retention is high and staff turnover low.
Using employment trials allows you to develop existing staff by giving them mentoring responsibilities. This affords you the chance to measure their potential for forthcoming promotions or career developments. Added responsibility enriches jobs and most people flourish given this chance.
Finchale is a small college - we know our people and can offer candidate accountability. With permission, we will share our knowledge of the individual with you, explaining their disability and how it impacts on them. Finchale is about ABILITY not disability and in most cases, adaptations are not required and few, if any adjustments are needed. However, if this is the case we can support with staff awareness training, recommended strategies, equipment advice etc.
Financial incentives are available and include:
£75 per week for up to 6 weeks (or 13 in some cases)
Or
£1000 incentive for the employer with £500 bonus for the recruit
Now doesn't that make good business sense?
