EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
To gain employment in the Accounting field, you will need to be able to assist with a variety of accounting responsibilities some of which may be at supervisory level.

To meet company demands, a proficient understanding of double-entry book-keeping, ledger management and reconciliations, accounting basics, costing, cash management and credit control, along with accurate skills in information technology and good communication skills are required.

This course is intended to help you prepare and progress to employment of more than 16 hrs per week in a wide variety of jobs that are constantly being advertised for the Local Employment Partnerships

On successful completion of this course at certification level (level II), you will have the necessary skills to gain employment as an accounts assistant, credit control assistant, book-keeper, purchase ledger clerk, sales ledger clerk. While at diploma level (level III), you will have the necessary skills to gain employment as an accounts supervisor, accounts assistant, chief cashier, cost controller. Self-employment is also an option.

COURSE LENGTH
The length of the course is flexible - up to a total of 52 weeks, which includes a period of work experience up to 10 weeks and 20 days holiday.

    Certificate (Level II)
  • AAT Certificate for Accounting Technicians Level II
  • ICB Certificate in Basic Book-Keeping Level I
  • ICB Certificate in Manual Book-Keeping Level II
Diploma (Level III)
  • AAT Diploma for Accounting Technicians Level III
